Clifford Lee Bohmfalk 1927-2014

 

Clifford Lee Bohmfalk, 86, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2014, in hospice, after a lengthy illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Katie (Sterling) Bohmfalk of Yancey; his wife, Marilyn Cagle Bohmfalk of Hondo; and three brothers, Clarence of Yancey, Rolf E. of Hondo and Robert of Katy.

He is survived by two daughters, Nelva Sullivan of Hondo, Eloise O'Neill of Denton, and one son, David Bohmfalk of Hondo, as well as sister, Rosalie Jones of Yancey. He leaves behind two grandsons, Travis Lakey of Hondo and Michael Reynolds of Denton, and two granddaughters, Laura Bohmfalk of San Marcos and Lisa King of Waco.

Clifford was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Yancey and grew up on the family farm. Clifford was a member of Hal Jones Post 128 of the American Legion and Hondo Masonic Lodge #756, AF & AM, as well as the USS DeHaven Sailors' Association.

The visitation is scheduled for 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at the New Fountain United Methodist Church.

The family suggests memorials may be made to New Fountain United Methodist Church.
