Arthur Larsen 1927-2016

Arthur Larsen, 89, of Carpentersville, formerly of Fox River Grove, and a 20 year resident of Vancouver Island, B.C., passed away on July 6, 2016 in Elgin. He was born June 8, 1927 in Chicago, IL the son of Carl and Anna Larsen. 

Arthur served his country in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS DeHaven DD-727. Preceding his tour he trained with the Cubs minor league team as a pitcher. He's been the Cubs number one fan his entire life. He enjoyed painting, fishing and spending time with family. 

He is survived by his children, Carol (William) Baumgartner and Dick (Carol) Larsen of Cary; his grandchildren, Kristina, Kurt, Tim, Michael, Carl, Maribeth, Annie, and Leah; his great grandchildren, Dana, Kellen, Reese, Oliver, Stella, Jillian, and Keira.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia and his son Donald.
