Raymond Warren Perry

Abbeville - Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Raymond Warren Perry, 82, who died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

He is survived by his nine sons, David Perry and his wife, Liz, Raymond Perry, Jr. and his wife, Marlene, Peter J. Perry and his wife, Gladys, Gregory Perry, Mark Perry and his wife, Dorothy, Ernest Perry, Stephen Perry, Phillip Perry and his wife, Becky and Nathan Perry; two daughters, Melanie Donovan and her husband, Dallas and Julie Perry; brother, Paul “Mac” M. Perry; sister, Jane Brouillette; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and very special friend, Olite Guidry of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Perry and the former Ada LeMaire; brother, Hampton Perry; sisters, Camille Broussard and Eunice Trahen.

Raymond served aboard DeHaven from 1946-47 as a Seaman 2/c gunner's mate striker.
