San Antonio Reunion 2002
This year, our reunion is scheduled for September 24-29 at the
Downtown/Market Square Holiday
Inn in San Antonio, TX. We have a reserved block of 125 rooms at a
special DeHaven Sailors rate of $79.95 a night. This offer can only be
reserved by telephone at 800-445-8475. Reservations taken on-line will not
be able to get the special rate. You must call the Hotel. Normal room prices for this time of year
are $99.99.
The hotel is located just a short trolley ride from the famous Alamo
and Riverwalk. In
addition, right next to the hotel is the San Antonio Market
Place.
I was in San Antonio last year and took a few pictures of the Riverwalk
and Alamo areas. Slideshow.
On Friday, we will be visiting the Nimitz
Museum in Fredericksburg, TX, a short bus ride north from San
Antonio.

Generals Pershing, Eisenhower, Patton, Teddy Roosevelt, and

10:00 AM business meeting in hospitality room.
- Fred Doederlein will show his pictures from the 50 Year
Korean Anniversary celebration in Korea.
- Remainder of the day is a free day to sight see the Riverwalk, Market Square or
Alamo on your own. Public transportation available

| Sept 27 |
Tour to Fredericksburg and the Admiral Nimitz
museum. $20 per person |
| Sept 28 |
Free day. Return to hotel around 4:30 to prepare for
evening banquet. Banquet is $27 per person |
